Watch What you Eat!!

Ok so this weekend was quite eventful for us. I had four days of nearly no sleep. Saturday I sat through HUGE birthday party for a very good friend of mind. Came home and was chillin on the sofa reading the paper. Suddenly Zoe begins to scream and spit on the floor. She had bitten through a glow bracelelt. Yes, her mouth, and half the living room was glowing yellow ( personally I think purple or blue would have looked a lot neater....) then not 20 minutes after that she starts grabbing at her throat, gagging and ( belieive it or not) screaming!!! She had choked on a mancala stone ( a flat marble like rock used in a game) oh yeah, she was right NEXT to me!!! I had no idea she had it!! ( Its kinda like when kids swallow coins on accident, moms are usually not that far away!) So I call 911, and OF COURSE by the time they arrive she had swallowed it down. Well, they were a bit worried since she would not talk to them but I explained she was a bit shy. Oh even more embarassing, the paramedics hepfully picked up a few more chokeable items off the the floor for me. ( this is the kid that cut teeth on toxic, tiny, polly pocket items by the way!) I am grateful that she is fine, and that we did not need a four to six hour visit to the ER. However, I did have to explain WHY her mouth was glowing yellow....
Just so you know, glow sticks are non toxic. I am giving her a few more days to ummmm pass the stone and then it might get a little more complicated. So that is the latest of my fun adventures! Oh and the breif but violient episode I had this evening with some spoiled salasa. Serves me right for stuffing my face. I swear, I don't know who did it better, Emily years ago getting her head stuck in a chair ( that was a two hour ordeal to cut her out and Nick was of course GONE) or this. I mean. Yellow glowing mouth....(once the scary choking was over) Well, maybe I topped it all with the whole eleveator thing, It has to be genetic!! Since I refuse to go another night without sleep I am off now... tune in next week for our exciting and funny/weird adventures!!!!

Im still here!

Oh my poor blog, I don't need to neglect you. Its just that Facebook is so much eaiser, on all the time....
I don't know where to begin! I guess we will start with the kids enjoying their summer vacation. I bought a blow up pool and Sophie and Zoe have spent two days in it. I love it because they play all afternoon and go to sleep by 7:30 pm. Katey and I once again stayed up waaaay to late last night. I was lazy and didn't wash off my makeup and woke to my eyelashes all stuck. Seriously stuck. As in had to get warm water, make up remover and scissors stuck. I am ok, I still have plenty of eyelashes, but will wash my face from now on!! ( this was a teaching example for the girls, yeah, thats it!!) I am enjoying my last few days of "freedom". I will be babysitting next week and getting the kids on a more organized schedule. That means early mornings and hopefully early bed for me!!
Katey makes her conformation next month and Emily will be going to Science camp in San Diego.
I mixed up my days and forgot to put the trash/recycle out. Both are FULL. So annoying! I am neglecting the house till after sunset and going out with the kids and enjoying every sunny day we have! Happy Summer Everyone!!!

Oh my, my is THAT my three year old? Oh yes she has perfected some of her teenage sisters looks!! Second is Sophie eating...... POPCORN!!! to most of you that is not a big deal, to us, it was monumental. Enjoy, honey!

This next one is after the infamous, FaceBook quote, "lets add MORE bubbles!!!" this is the result. the last pic is of Sophie totally cofused by a friend of mines "old fashioned" camera. It took us 10 minutes to get her to understand how to take a picture. This from the kid that can snap digital pics in the blink of a eye. Go Technology!!

Silly Zoe

OH the irony! I of course was up all night again ( waited too late to take sleep meds) and Zoya decided to sleep in this morning. Normally she is up before the sun. So I was showing Sophie how to make French Toast. ( She loved whisking everything together) Just a few minutes ago I was having Sophie tell the big girls what was in it. She said um.... milk ... eggs.... chocolate chips...uh... (she was trying to remember cinnamon) when Zoe pipes up and says " French! " So I guess we have a bottle of "French" hanging around! At any rate it was yummy! (oh yeah one of the other ingredients was also toast!)

Chuck E Cheese.....argh!

Well I survived, barely. Things started out great. The birthday boy was cute and excited and had a blast. Girls all had fun and I played a ton of games with them. Unfortunately , I had woken up super super early, am suffering from miserable allergies and kids who are sick/better/sick/better.
Well Zoe has a phobia about characters: won't go near Santa, Easter Bunny or any thing similar. There was the Chuck E robot guy who sang on a stage ( of COURSE right near our table) and it took a lot of bribing to get her used to it. THEN (this is where is gets fun) they start announcing that Chuck E is COMING OUT SOON! Birthday boy is bouncing out of his chair in total glee ( he turned five) and Zoe keeps looking nervously around her at the "robot" waiting for it to jump off the stage and eat her. So out comes the guy in the Chuck E suit and poor Zoe was eating her pizza and didn't notice. What does Chuck do? STANDS practically on top of her waving and such. She leapt out of her chair and clung to me like a terrifed monkey. Kids all dance and there is insane singing hooplah. Well poor Zoe has a dilemma. You see right before Chuck made his appearance they had brought out MASSIVE cupcakes ( Steph, what WERE you thinking??) So my poor terrified sugar addict has one eye on Chuck E and the other on the cupcakes. After 10 minutes of dancing, singing and loud stuff they start serving the kids. WELL, then Chuck comes over for photos. Poor Zoe would not budge. Would not drop her cupcake and sat in her chair, with one arm grabbing for Emily ( she was is a total panic) and the other on the damn cupcake. Well, Chuck E finally took off and she ate in peace. I am ready to leave, beyond tired hoping I don't fall asleep on the dang floor but we have to turn in tickets to get prizes. There is one person working the prizes. It took 25 @#%^^%$#ing mintues to get four cheap prizes. Oh then ZOe had to go potty which OF COURSE was massive diarreah. ( I KNEW frosting was evil!!) We finally get outta there, get home and.....had a nice after noon. HA you were waiting for more trauma!! The kids played, we watched a movie had a super Roast Chicken dinner and played outside till the younger two passed out at 7:15. So far everyone seems ok but I am not taking anything for granted. I am gonna watch a grown -up movie ( or try to) and hopfully get a good night sleep. ( snort) For tomorrow I am thinking of my hubby and chilling with the kids. We have a cook out planned and then get ready for a crazy week of school activities.
Have a great rest of the "weekend"!!

Mommy Day

It was a fairly un eventful Mother's day for me. I had TRIED to sleep in. Ok, the only reason why I wanted to was because of my head injury I am not sleeping well, and I knew I would be tired. Poor Emily did her best to keep the little ones quiet but... no luck. Every 9 minutes 30 seconds there was a scream, screetch, "OW!", "Stoooooooop!", "I'm telling mommy!", thumping down the hall , and once loud giggling. Then a HUGE clatter that sounded like my entire pot rack fell down ( the girls were getting out pots and pan for who KNOWS what!) . THen the phone rang. THen I heard a strange buzzing noise. The only thing missing was the fire alarm ( it goes off if you even think about cooking, really!) and the doorbell. So I gave up on the fantasy of sleep. Katey and Emily moslty cooperated to make .... pound cake . ( of all things. Very sweet but I HATE cake!) They even cleaned up (mostly) their mess. They did not kill eachother. That was a great gift. They had only 7 arguments all day. Sophie was crabby but cut the whining down to about every hour instead of every 37 seconds. Zoe ate pound cake all day. Emily played with the girls and thier little friends outside aaaalllll day. THANK YOU EMILY!! I immersed myself in my Twilight books, got mad over the phone going in and out, did some laundry, and "rested". We had an un-exciting dinner, watched a movie and then everyone was off to bed. I did some more reading and crashed out fairly early. Slept a teeny bit better. The kids made some cute cards and the day is over! Now its a drizzle gray Monday , perfect for cuddling on the couch. Hey, I still have to "rest" right?
